Bereits im Jahre 1837 von dem Hufschmied John Deere im US-Bundesstaat Illinois gegründet, ist Deere & Company mit seiner
Hauptmarke „John Deere“ heute der Weltmarktführer im Bereich der landwirtschaftlichen Nutzfahrzeuge. Bereits kurz nach dem
Ende des 1. Weltkriegs begann Deere & Company mit der Herstellung der ersten Traktoren-Modelle. Als die Firma in der Zeit der
Weltwirtschaftskrise 1931 bis 1933 auf die Rückzahlung bereits erbrachter Lieferungen von zahlungsunfähigen Landwirten verzichtete
bescherte ihr dieses großzügige Verhalten im Nachhinein viele Neukunden und eine extrem hohe Kundentreue. Der unserem Schuco
Modell zugrundeliegende John Deere 7800 ist ein schwerer Traktor mit über 11 Tonnen zulässigem Gesamtgewicht, der in den Jahren
1997 bis 2003 produziert wurde. Von den Ingenieuren bei John Deere für schwerste Geländeeinsätze konzipiert ist der 7800 auch
mehr als 15 Jahre nach seinem Produktionsende noch sehr beliebt und häufig im Einsatz.

Deere & Company was founded in Illinois in 1837 by the blacksmith John Deere. Today, John Deere is
the world’s leading manufacturer of agricultural vehicles. The first tractor models were built by Deere
& Company shortly after the end of the First World War. During the Great Depression from 1931 to
1933, the company allowed farmers who could not afford to make repayments to keep their purchases.
With hindsight, this generosity helped the company to acquire many new customers and ensure a high
level of customer loyalty. The John Deere 7800, which was the inspiration for our Schuco model, is a
heavy-duty tractor with a maximum permissible weight of 11 tonnes. It was produced from 1997 to
2003. Conceived by John Deere engineers for the heaviest off-road terrain, the 7800 is very popular
and is still widely used more than 15 years after the vehicle was discontinued.
